About Us

The Amsterdam at Harborside Senior Community on Long Island

We invite you to get to know The Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam at Harborside is not the average senior community. After opening our doors in August of 2010, we became Nassau County’s first and only life care community, and as such, continue to deliver a higher level of service, convenience, freedom and security to all those who make their home here. In October of 2012, during and after the events of Hurricane Sandy, we served as a safe house and true community focal point, not only for our residents and their families, but for many of our own staff and their family members.

Then, and now, we share the rewarding, inspiring, exhilarating experience that is life together at The Amsterdam.

We invite you to learn a bit more about who we are, what we believe, and what we promise to you and your loved ones.
